Content for the Web and Print
Do you struggle to create new content for your website, social media or printed materials? Is the demand of content creation just another nagging item on your to-do list?
Problem. Solved.
Content Marketing is not just your website – it should extend into every piece of marketing collateral, from your business card to your brochures. I can help you write great content for use on and off the web. We will work together to define the types of content that will elevate your brand with your target market and position you as an authoritative expert in your industry.
What I think about when I think about your content strategy:
What questions and concerns does your target market have that you can address with authority? Tools like Google Analytics can help you understand what searches led people to your website, which can be a helpful first step in understanding what issues are top of mind for your potential client. I can pull your stats and we can get a meeting to go over the content you THINK people want vs what they are really looking for when they land on your site.
Something I do and recommend lurking around on social media a bit every day to follow conversations and see what is on people’s minds in general and in your industry in particular. I can do this for you and I find it an invaluable source of ideas for future content. I pay particular attention to ‘rant’ posts about products or services similar to your own as they can be a fantastic source of content that you can use to differentiate your brand.
Do we have all of the facts and information we need to create informative content? If you have a great idea but your statements need factual support, I can compile a list of resources that we can cite for your article. In a world of half-baked information, let’s make sure your content is well-done! I’ll do the underlying research to unearth important facts, statistics, and citations that will make your content authoritative and boost your standing as an expert resource in your industry.
Where, when, and how we will place this content ? Good content can be reused in many different ways – on the website, on social media, in email campaigns, and in your printed materials – giving you more bang for your buck. The strategies may vary, depending on your goal. A good, long-form article can be ‘cut up’ into a dozen Linked In posts, tweaked for use in a brochure, or turned into a downloadable white paper.
If the content is to be used off the web, we will need to discuss the presentation format (brochure, trifold, flyer, etc) and who will be producing the finished product? Sending your content out to a commercial printer requires one type of layout; setting it up for you to print yourself is another. I use the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Indesign, Acrobat) to produce your materials and if you need me to shepherd them through the proofing and printing process, then have them delivered – I do that too.
